Get up and move.
We don’t realize the stress we put on our bodies everyday by sitting. My husband and I realized this when we went to an orthopedic surgeon because my husband had hurt his knee. The Dr had xrays taken of his body from the middle of his back down to his feet. With these xrays in hand the Dr. SHOWED us the damage that was happening from sitting. Not only does it make you gain weight when you sit too much it also causes things like bursitis and bone spurs.
This is another great reason to get up and move when you are feeling the cortisol levels rise because of a stressful situation you are facing. GET UP and take the stress off of your body and move around. Try some yoga balancing position. It will help use up that cortisol flowing through your veins and do your body a tremendous amount of good.
