Well it has been awhile.  I have gone through the ups and downs of eating healthy and have trained for a relay race.

Eating has been an interesting journey that I have a love/hate relationship with.  I love healthier foods now but still have cravings.  When I have broken down and eaten sugar I love it but that just leads to more cravings.  One day I broke down and ate a hamburger and found I didn’t enjoy it as much as I used to neither did my stomach.  I find myself eating more fruit than I used to to have the sweetness that I crave.

So with my training for my relay race I had 2 legs to run.  The first was 3 miles up a 6% grade.  That was a killer or at least I thought that was a killer until I did my 8.33 miles down a mountain at a 6% grade.  I never knew that running would hurt my butt that bad.  I was so sore the day after I ran that leg the first time I trained on it that I could hardly walk.  My thighs were on fire and I only made it 5 miles before I was too tired to continue.  I knew at that point I needed to do some serious training on my downhill leg.

Today with my eating I am on track and I feel better.  I can focus on my 90 day challenge without having to focus on running.  I love the strength training and being able to see my muscles grow.

My pants are starting to feel lose to the point that I feel like they are falling off.  This is interesting because I have gained a few pounds back which for those of you trying to lose weight it is quite frustrating.
