Hey everyone.  I was just reminded about something my coach told me and I had to share.

What goals are you setting?  Is it to exercise 5 or more days a week? Or that you are going to cut out sugar when looking at what you eat?

Before you set these goals look at where you are right now.  How much sugar are you eating each day?  How much soda do you drink in a day?  How much do you exercise right now?

The best way to set a goal is to do something only 5% better.  That is what is called the 5% rule.  By doing this you are setting yourself up for success.

So as you set your goals ask yourself “If I were to take 5% more responsibility for my health and wellness I would…”

See what you come up with.  Is it just 5% more or did you jump to the 100% better.

PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE!  Make sure it’s only 5% so you can have success and then you will be able to feel that sense of accomplishment.
