I know this subject resonates with so many of you.  I am thankful for the support you give me and I would love to support you.  I thought maybe it would help someone out there to know what I eat throughout the day so you have a sample day.

With my eating I have a protein shake first thing in the morning to stabilize my blood sugar.  That is usually about 6 am.

At about 9:30 am I will eat either an egg and a piece of whole grain toast or and apple with 2 sticks of string cheese.

At 11:30-12 I eat lunch which I really like salads.  That way I am getting my vegetables for the day and I have learned to really love them.  If I don’t eat a salad I will eat hard boiled eggs and grilled tomatoes or something like that.  Even with my salads I make sure to have a protein like eggs or chicken on it.  I also like to include a healthy fat like avocados on it too.  If I am in a big hurry I will do a green smoothie making sure to put raw organic coconut oil in it to get my healthy fats.

My afternoon snack is a smoothie or an apple and string cheese

Dinner is my hardest meal to figure out.  When you are trying to lose weight you really should stop your carb consumption at 4 pm.  I have extended that time frame to 6 because as a family we eat dinner after my husband gets home from work.  Also on many days I am doing some form of exercise in the evening.

With that all said I will cook things like chicken, rice (if I am good I cook brown rice.) with a veggie like asparagus, green beans, or broccoli.  My family likes corn too but I don’t eat that unless it is mixed in with other food.  Soups are a favorite too.
